We have been working in the field of psychotherapy for over 60 years combined. We were inspired to set up Dunamis Therapy Hub to share our experience, skills and ethos.

Dunamis Therapy Hub is a small private college offering a humanistic creative therapeutic diploma in counselling and studio events for continual professional development. Based in East Sussex, we are passionate about writing, philosophical thinking, spiritual connections, creativity, imagination and research.

Sara Bishop MBACP (Accred)

Director and Founder

I am an experienced therapist with over 26 years experience of private practice with a special interest in trauma. I love sharing my passion for the wellbeing of people. As a trainer of adults I enjoy seeing students push themselves to their true potential. I believe that education needs to be fun, humorous and that the stories we tell each other go to the heart of the human condition. I believe in the marvelous way people find creative solutions to their issues.

Sally Valentine MBACP (Accred)

Director and Founder

In 1993 I gained a diploma in counselling followed by a diploma in supervision. I have been in private practice since qualification. I Then trained in person centred art therapy. I am interested in trauma and the impact it has on people and have trained to diploma level and attended many courses on the subject. I am also BACP (Accredited)

My area of interest is working with children and adults with ADHD, ASD and other similar conditions.

Andrea Ostle MBACP (Accred)

I am an experienced counsellor, having started my own counselling journey in 2012. Alongside my private practice I spent 6 years working for a counselling charity where I am now a trustee.
I believe counselling training is one of the most exciting, challenging and fulfilling prospects a person can undertake and I am passionate about experiential learning which enables students to begin to really know themselves as they move towards becoming fully qualified counsellors.

Paul Lewis MBACP (Accred)

Tutor

Since qualifying in 2015 I have been working in Private Practice. As an Integrative Therapist I have continued to expand my skillset by also working within charity organisations and engaging in a wide variety of CPD courses. I am a qualified teacher and am accredited by the BACP. I have a particular interest in working with couples and LGBTQ+ issues.

On a personal level, I have always been aware of the great power of communication, learning from a young age the effects of both functional and dysfunctional relationships. I have also been very fortunate to have had some great counsellors and teachers in my life, who have helped me find and develop my own sense of authenticity. As a teacher of counselling I strive to impart all that I have learned whilst encouraging my students to find their own unique and genuine selves; so that they can go on to help others in the same way.

IT Support

I’m a director of Dunamis Therapy Hub and support the students with IT-related queries.

I also maintain the website, manage the marketing, and help update all things digital for the college.
