So you are thinking about becoming a counsellor. Well you have come to the right place.
Our college offers a 60 hour online course comprising of 30 hours of direct teaching and 30 hours of self directed learning. This course is ideal for students taking their first steps towards a career in counselling. The course has been designed to strike the perfect balance of teaching and self directed learning. This gives students real insight into the counselling profession and a deeper understanding of what will be required from them at the next level.
Gain insight into the counselling profession and learn about the core concepts of counselling theory, approaches, and how to utilise and convert this knowledge into counselling skills.
As a result of undertaking this course, you will gain a deeper understanding of self, a deeper understanding of others. And you will develop counselling skills experience to relate in a more effective way.
Basic counselling skills are an essential and integral part of training to become a bacp accredited counsellor. They are also useful to people working in other professions for example teaching, nursing, team building etc.

Do I need to a degree to become a Counsellor?
No. You do not need a degree to study to be a counsellor/psychotherapist. You will however need a good level of English and numeracy and be able to understand and clearly communicate in English.
Are your counselling courses near me?
Dunamis Therapy Hub is located in Crowborough, East Sussex. There are good public transport routes to the college and car parking is available near by.
Please Note: This course is sometimes run online via Zoom. So you can join us from the comfort of your own home.
Counselling Certificate Dates
The Dunamis certificate in counselling skills is taught over 4 day modules.
The next 3 courses will be run over the following dates, first, face to face, and then online:
Part 1: Friday 26 and Saturday 27 April 2024 (Face to Face, Crowborough)
Part 2: Friday 3 and Saturday 4 May (Face to Face, Crowborough)

Please be aware – bookings will typically close two weeks before the start date of the course (though do get in touch if you want a last-minute entry and we will be as accommodating as possible)
